چکیده

Abstract In this paper, we propose a human-vehicle cooperative driving system. The objectives of research are twofold: (1) providing feasible brain-controlled vehicle (BCV) mode; (2) control mode. For the first aim, through brain-computer interface (BCI), can analyse EEG signal and get intentions driver. second is manifested in BCV combined with obstacle detection assistance. Considering potential dangers real motor outdoor, an module essential Obstacle emergency braking ensure safety driver during driving. system based on steady-state visual evoked (SSVEP) used BCI. Simulation experiment platform designed to verify feasibility proposed Five subjects participated simulation experiment. outdoor experimental results show that average accuracy intention recognition 90.68 ± 2.96% platform. verified SSVEP-based mode realised

A Brain-Computer Interface Based on Steady State Visual Evoked Potentials for Controlling a Robot

In this paper a brain computer interface (BCI) based on steady state visual evoked potentials (SSVEP) is presented. For stimulation a box equipped with LEDs (for forward, backward, left and right commands) is used that flicker with different frequencies (10, 11, 12, 13 Hz) to induce the SSVEPs. Eight channels of EEG were derived mostly over visual cortex for the experiment with 3 subjects. To c...

Brain-CAVE Interface Based on Steady-State Visual Evoked Potential

Recently, a new modality of the human-computer interface has been more and more emerging; The Brain-Computer Interface (BCI). The BCI is a communication channel, which enables us to send commands to external devices by using human brain activities (Wolpaw et al., 2002). As one of the remarkable achievements, we can see the report on invasive Brain-Machine Interface (BMI) (Hochberg et al., 2006)...

Early modulation of visual perception by emotional arousal: evidence from steady-state visual evoked brain potentials.

Allocation of processing resources to emotional picture stimuli was examined using steady-state visual evoked brain potentials (ssVEPs). Participants viewed a set of 60 colored affective pictures from the International Affective Picture System, presented in a flickering mode at 10 Hz in order to elicit ssVEPs. Phase and amplitude of the 10-Hz ssVEP were examined for six picture categories: thre...

Multiple Color Stimulus Induced Steady State Visual Evoked Potentials

Steady state visual evoked potentials (SSVEP) are of the characteristics of high SNR and effectiveness in short-term identification of evoked responses. In most of the SSVEP experiments, single high frequency stimuli are used. To characterize the complex rhythms in SSVEP, a new multiple color stimulus pattern is proposed in this paper. FFT and bispectrum analysis methods are used to detect the ...

Steady-state visual evoked potentials to computer monitor flicker.

In the present study, steady-state visual evoked potentials (S-VEP) in response to amplitude-modulated light from a computer monitor (colour sVGA, 15-inch tube) have been examined. S-VEPs to computer monitors with different refresh rates (60 Hz or 72 Hz) and screen brightness (65 cd/m2 or 6 cd/m2) were recorded in 13 subjects with normal or corrected-to-normal vision. EEG samples were amplified...
